A former Idaho lawmaker who recently stepped down in the midst of a sexual abuse investigation committed suicide on Tuesday.
Brandon Hixon was found dead by a relative at his home in Caldwell around 7am.
Cops later found he had nearly twice the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
He was due in court next week for a hearing involving his second arrest. The fourth-generation Idahoan attended Idaho State University where he got a degree in construction management.
Anne is a widely published author and a popular guest on radio and television talk shows nationally. Local police have since turned their investigation over to the Attorney General's Office, which have declined to comment on the content of the case.The father-of-four was previously investigated for inappropriately touching someone - possibly a child - in December 2014.The Canyon County Coroner says the 36-year-old died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
